Born 1905, St. Petersburg; died 1993, Moscow. Graduated from the Economic-Engineering Institute in 1926 and from the Institute of Art and Technology in 1930. In the 1920s and 1930s, member of the "Amaravella" art group. When arrested in 1941, he was imprisoned at first at the Butyrki, later in Saratov prison. Was reinstated in 1956. Lived in Moscow. Concentrated on painting; numerous one-man shows were held.
